Paryataka 1.0 – An Odyssey to Orccha

As an initiative of CBSE and central government- Dekho Apna Desh, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Satna campus conceptualised Paryataka. This is a signature excursion event which will help students to explore the rich heritage of our country. Madhya Pradesh is considered as the Heart of India and its full of beautiful and mesmerising historical sites. To kick start this signature event Paryatak 1.0 – An Odyssey to Orccha was conceptualised and executed for students of Grades 5th to 8th during the month of October 2024. The students were excited to join this 2 days and 1 night excursion trip to the heritage site of Orchha. The teachers who escorted students for this trip were- Ms. Riya Keshwani Jagwani, Ms. Rajini Katoch and Mr. Raj Mishra. The places visited by students and teachers were Orccha Fort, Ram Raja Temple, Chhartis Cenotaphs and Laxmi Temple. The students left the school in morning on 18th October 2024 and explored the Jahangir Mahal and did darshan of Ram Raja Temple. Many had heard about this but very few students had actually explored this place. Their teachers helped them related with the history of this place that they covered in Sanskrit and Social Science chapters. On 19th October 2024 students explored the remaining sited and returned back to school campus. This excursion trip encouraged many students to read more on the rich history of the sites around their state. The learning beyond text books, classroom and motivation to see and explore the glorious past of their country was a cherished experience for both students and teachers alike.
